Horbury Village Partnership are delighted to announce that the brand new website for Horbury is now live!

After 6 months of hard work, gathering information, collating facts and meeting with the large number of incredibly diverse businesses and groups in Horbury, the Partnership are proud and delighted to announce the launch of the fabulous new community website

The aim of the website is to bring together all the different sections of the community that exist within Horbury and provide one central hub where people can find all the local information they need, whether it be the opening times or location of a local business, the meeting place of one of the many diverse groups, recommendation of a place to eat, a fact about local history or general information about a village event.

Horbury has a wonderful diverse selection of unique, independent boutiques, shops and businesses that are owned and managed by local families. We have the genuine traditional ‘village’ shopping experience that developers of supermarkets and malls regularly try to replicate, with everything from fresh local grocery shops and independent delicatessens to beautiful spa shops and luxury clothing boutiques. Everything you need, all in one beautiful setting!

We also have a large number of active and dedicated groups and societies here in Horbury, reflecting the wide and varied passions of the people in our Township. Whether you love to play or listen to music or sport, are a new mum or a busy childminder, or want a group that stretches your imagination or your muscles, we have something for everyone, adding to Horbury's unique character and making it a delightful place to live, work and visit.

Yorkshire has recently seen an explosion of interest in its regional and local events, with fantastic occasions such as the Tour De France and Tour de Yorkshire right on Horbury’s doorstep as the competitors pass through our lovely Cathedral City. We also have a number of award winning national attractions only minutes away, including the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, National Mining Museum and Hepworth Gallery and on a more local level we have fabulous events such as the annual Horbury Street Fayre and Horbury Show that are loved and enjoyed by every generation.

Remember if you shop in Horbury and its surrounding villages in Wakefield, you support the local economy, so take a look at our website and see how we can help!
