Adult Education

Wakefield Adult Education service has a number of online learning opportunities for the people of West Yorkshire.

They have over 40 Level 2 NCFE online courses in a number of subjects – see the online learning guide for more information. These courses are free as long as they are completed in the allocated time frame, otherwise a fee will be incurred. The courses can support people with upskilling, widening their knowledge and personal development too, depending on the topic.

There are also some mini online courses that we have split into sectors to support different working areas, they are as follows:

  • Business Skills
  • Health and Social Care
  • Wellbeing
  • Health and Safety
  • Digital
  • Childcare and Education
  • Employability and Personal Development
  • Social Series
  • Sustainability

These courses will offer continuous professional development for people and are completed in a shorter period of time than the Level 2 courses (as little as four hours). See the course information leaflets for more information.

Please contact wakefieldonlinelearning@wakefield.gov.uk or 01924 303 325 for more information and to join a course.
