New Beginnings for Sutcliffe Play's Design Director
21 April 2016
Sutcliffe Play’s Design Director Dave Brady is stepping down at the end of this month and has made his first goal of retirement to cycle around the coast of the UK! Dave has been with Sutcliffe Play since 1988 and has been responsible for the design of Sutcliffe Plays playground equipment since he started with the company.
Robin Sutcliffe, Chairman of Sutcliffe Play says:
“Dave has helped to shape Sutcliffe Play into one of the UK’s leading designers of children’s playground equipment.
“We’d like to thank him for all of his years of service to us and the play industry, and for giving us 12 months to plan for his succession! We wish him all the best for the future.”
Dave embarks on his cycle at the end of May which he expects to take around three months and will be visiting places including John O'Groats, Belfast and Land’s End. Dave has been a keen cyclist since swapping his car for a bike as part of the Cycle to Work scheme in 2007. Since then he’s cycled the 12 mile journey to and from work most days.
Martin Griffin, Managing Director of Sutcliffe Play says:
“Dave is an integral part of Sutcliffe Play and we’re sorry to see him leave the company. Dave has been working alongside the company’s new Design Manager, Patrick Martin for 10 months now to ensure a smooth transition.
“Patrick himself has been with Sutcliffe Play for 24 years so he knows the company and the playground industry inside out. We already have exciting plans in place to reveal a new range of playground equipment that has been designed with the extensive experience of both Dave and Patrick.”
