Team runs into red to put hospice into the blue

WAKEFIELD polyurethane moulding firm, PolyGlobal, has tipped their fund-raising target for the city’s hospice over the £1000 mark by going into the red.

Four members of the team and their children completed Wakefield Hospice Colour Run as part of the latest in a series of events for the charity aiming for £3000 in the year.  They all ran through powdered paint and were then covered in water.BeforeAfter

Vicki Bottomley was persuaded to sign up after taking part in a previous Colour Run by her two children, Thomas and Felicity.  They lined up with Andy Young, Sales Manager, and his son Ted, aged two, Tammie Blakeston, Finance Assistant, and her daughter Maddie, aged 14 and Jamie Illingworth, Account Manager, and his niece Heidi, age 6.

“When we set ourselves this target to support Wakefield Hospice we wanted to make sure that as many members of the team as possible could be involved.  So far we have had a sponsored weight loss and entered the Wakefield Hospice 10k.

“The Colour Run was just good clean fun for all the family,” she said.  “We are continuing with events internally and looking at entering the Dragon Boat race,” she said.

“Wakefield Hospice is a special place for many of the team, either through personal or indirect experience and we wanted to make a difference.  Our Virgin Money page will remain open for donations.  https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/charity-web/charity/displayCharityCampaignPage.action?charityCampaignUrl=PolyGlobal
