PolyGlobal join colour run for Hospice

WAKEFIELD’S PolyGlobal are making it a family affair this weekend during the annual Colour Run for the city’s hospice at Thornes Park.

Staff at the world leading polyurethane moulders had no trouble persuading their children to take part in the 5K run through paint and water in aid of Wakefield Hospice this coming Sunday.

Four team members will join the line up, that is the latest event as part of the Thornes Lane company’s yearlong fund-raising effort for the hospice.

Vicki Bottomley, Sales and Marketing Coordinator, and her two children, Thomas, aged seven and Felicity aged four, will line up with Andy Young, Sales Manager, and his son Ted, aged two, Joining them are Tammie Blakeston, Finance Assistant, and her daughter Maddie, aged 14 and Jamie Illingworth, Account Manager, and his niece Heidi, age 6.

“I have taken part in a Colour Run before and when the children saw me they were desperate to get involved, despite it being 5k,” said Vicki.

“PolyGlobal committed to raising £3000 for Wakefield Hospice in January and have raised quite a bit so far in our target.  This seemed like a fun way to get involved with the children,” she added.

The company has set up a Virgin Money Page for donations.  https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/charity-web/charity/displayCharityCampaignPage.action?charityCampaignUrl=PolyGlobal
