The ACE Employment Focused Study Programme at Camphill Wakefield provides work opportunities leading to part-time paid work for students with learning disabilities in partnership with various businesses and employers in Wakefield and the surrounding area. The presentation will include a guest speaker from one of our successful employers.
Adrian Bird - Wakefield Employment Hub
Wakefield Council Employment Hub have been working in partnership with Camphill College and together supporting local businesses in Wakefield with bridging skills gaps, workforce development, upskilling existing employees, job carving and recruiting apprentices.
We will be talking to businesses about the work undertaken and hearing from businesses who have met recruitment challenges through supported employment and employing young people with special education needs and disabilities (SEND).
Hear first-hand from students who have been a part of these successful programmes and find out how you as a business can get involved and future-proof your employees!
