Wakefield's Clobber Swap sponsors Kelly Osbourne and Ray Winstone Awards at London Fashion Week

Clobber Swap has taken another major step onto the national fashion stage after sponsoring This Is ICON 2026, an official on-schedule London Fashion Week event held at The Brewery in London on Saturday 19 September, where Kelly Osbourne and Ray Winstone were among the night’s award recipients.

Founded by Yorkshire entrepreneur Camille Johnson, Clobber Swap began six years ago with just 32 women swapping clothes and has since grown into a community of thousands built around one simple belief: great clothes deserve more than one life.

The evening’s awards ceremony added extra star power to the night, Kelly Osbourne received the Outstanding Charitable Endeavours award for her work with youth homelessness charity Centrepoint, while Camille personally presented screen and stage icon Ray Winstone with the award for Outstanding Contribution to Acting, the Entertainment Industry and Philanthropy.

“Handing an award to someone as iconic as Ray Winstone, recognising a career that has meant so much to British film, television and charity was a genuinely special moment for Clobber Swap,” said Camille Johnson, founder of Clobber Swap.

The recently launched Clobberswap.co.uk is a platform that allows women to swap, sell and shop from each other’s wardrobes within a trusted community, combining the convenience of an online fashion marketplace with the trust and personality of real women of all shapes and sizes.

Clobber Swap joined designers, fashion businesses, creatives, celebrities and industry figures at This Is ICON, with the evening’s runway featuring headline designer Josh

Birch Jones, alongside Carina Rose, WORNOTWASTED, Nathan Palmer, Zen Zhi, Old School FC and a showcase from Yorkshire Fashion Week.

For Camille, however, some of the most important conversations happened away from the runway.

Camille Johnson, founder of Clobber Swap, said:

“What struck me was just how many women we spoke to who already love charity shops, pre-loved fashion and finding unique pieces”.

“When we explained what we have created with Clobber Swap, the reaction was incredibly warm. So many women immediately understood it and wanted to try it, signing up there and then”.

“That was a huge moment for me. We started six years ago with 32 women in Yorkshire, in a private FB group and this weekend we were standing at London Fashion Week talking about Clobber Swap and sustainable fashion with designers like Nicoshishkin”.

“Fashion doesn’t have to mean constantly buying new. There are beautiful clothes sitting unworn in wardrobes all over the UK. We want to make it normal to swap them, sell them, share them and give them another life.

“To see Clobber Swap alongside such incredible designers and fashion talent made me incredibly proud, but it also made me realise that we’re only just getting started.”

The sponsorship comes as interest in circular and pre-loved fashion continues to have a visible presence around London Fashion Week; the British Fashion Council’s September programme itself includes eBay’s pre-loved Endless Runway initiative.

Clobber Swap’s appearance at This Is ICON also brought the Yorkshire business alongside an international mix of emerging and established fashion talent, while providing an opportunity to introduce a new audience to a more community-led approach to circular fashion.

Camille added:

“We came to London to fly the flag for Clobber Swap, but we came home with something even more valuable, confirmation that women want another way to enjoy fashion. They also love the concept of swapping items for the price of postage”.

The future of fashion isn’t simply about what we buy next. It’s about what we do with the clothes we already own.”
