What makes Fanfare Music stand out is how deeply they’ve involved themselves into the local community. They moved into their tailored studio space in 2023, taking over a building that used to house Rhubarb Radio. From this base, they handle everything from standard instrument tuition to corporate team-building sessions. They also support their community heavily, running free summer holiday camps for local kids and hosting the weekly WX Pop Choir every Wednesday lunchtime in the city centre, which has grown from 10 to 60 voices in just the space of a year.

"I wanted to build the kind of music school I always wished existed," says the founder. "Music has this incredible way of bringing people together and boosting mental well-being. Seeing people who walk into our studio as complete strangers walk out as a band or a choir is easily the most rewarding part of what we do here."

Things aren't slowing down either, with a fresh lineup of projects rolling out. They are currently launching adult Rock Bands where amateur musicians can experience playing in a real ensemble, starting a brand-new Kids Pop Choir, and teaming up with Freshly Squeezed Dramatic Arts to run on-camera acting classes for young people.
