Wakefield Business Spotlight: Age UK Wakefield District
Age UK Wakefield District is next up in our #WakefieldBusinessSpotlight series!
They support older people across the Wakefield District through a wide range of community locations, individual home visits, and their new venture, The Tea Tree Café in Treacy Hall at Wakefield Cathedral.
Their services cover everything from information and advice, connecting care, bereavement services, social groups, wellbeing activities, and volunteering opportunities, to home support, shopping and domestic help, befriending, digital inclusion, and a wide range of community projects that help reduce loneliness and social isolation.

Alongside all their other essential work, Age UK Wakefield District are also recently launched the Wakefield District Centre for Positive Ageing which brings together services, partners and communities to champion positive ageing, tackle inequalities and create new opportunities for older people to stay active, informed and connected.
