The UK arm of sweet manufacturing giant Haribo has reported growth in revenue and profits underpinned by investment in its facilities and expansion of its retail estate. The company has also recently opened a new warehouse, marking a significant milestone in its continued investment in UK manufacturing.

Dunhills (Pontefract) plc is a manufacturer and distributor of confectionery products, operating under the Haribo and Maoam brands.

Recently filed accounts show turnover increased to £297.2m in the year ending 31 December 2025, up from £291.6m in 2024.

Pre-tax profit also increased to £45.4m from £40.8m the previous year.

In their report accompanying the accounts, the directors said 2025 had been "another strong year for the company", with its market share standing at 22.6 per cent and Haribo and Maoam among the top selling products.

During the year, three Haribo stores opened in the UK in Glasgow, Manchester and Kent. Its stores welcomed five million visitors, a one million increase on the previous year's footfall.

Since 2018 Haribo has invested more than £20m in its UK 13 retail stores.

The group continued to invest in its West Yorkshire manufacturing facilities, including a new purpose-built warehouse at its Castleford site, which has now officially opened.

The £35m investment has included a new warehouse facility and an additional production and packaging line.

The facility was brought forward in partnership with Yorkshire-based Caddick Construction and built using a local supply chain.

The investment is set to support Haribo's operations across Castleford and Pontefract, where the business employs more than 700 people, and further strengthens Yorkshire's role as one of the group's key manufacturing hubs globally.

Phil Murphy, chief marketing officer, Haribo UK and Ireland, said: "We've been part of West Yorkshire for more than 50 years and we're very proud to call it home. The region plays a hugely important role in HARIBO's success across the UK, from the products we make here through to the people, skills and manufacturing expertise that support our operations every day.

"Being the UK's leading sweets manufacturer is something we are incredibly proud of, and this investment reflects the important role West Yorkshire continues to play in that success."

Yvette Cooper, MP for Pontefract, Castleford and Knottingley, said: "It was great to cut the ribbon at the opening of the new warehouse at Haribo's Castleford site.  I'm really pleased that the new warehouse will allow them to expand and continue to support 700 jobs across our area.

"Haribo are a brilliant manufacturer who have been at the heart of our towns for decades, carrying on our sweet making tradition."

Steve Ford, regional managing director, Caddick Construction North East and Yorkshire, added: "It has been a privilege to work with Haribo on this impressive expansion project, which has been especially significant with Haribo making such a huge contribution to employment locally to our Wakefield head office. Together with our local supply chain partners, our team worked hard to deliver the new warehouse to a world-class standard to support Haribo's high-calibre production.

"We're proud to have played our part in this project, creating a facility that will have a lasting impact on Yorkshire's manufacturing sector and the wider community."
