Service restored as The Common Post Office reopens under new management
The Common Post Office in South Kirkby has reopened under new management, three years after its closure.
Reopening in the same location – Costcutter at 5 Mill Lane, personal and business customers will be able to do their everyday banking.
Customers can post letters and parcels and do bill payments, and Post Office Travel Money Card services.
Services are available: Monday to Friday: 7am to 9pm and Saturday, 9am – 2pm.
This service will provide customers with 75 hours of Post Office service a week.
The Common Post Office is one of the Post Office’s local style branches with a low-screened, open-plan service point carefully integrated into the retail counter.
The new branch aims to make it easier for people to visit a Post Office by extending the availability of Post Offices services in the area already at South Kirkby.
Jonathan Walker, Post Office Retail Change Lead, said: “We know how important a Post Office is to a community and we are delighted to have restored service at the same location as before.”
