New showbar ready to open in Wakefield city centre
A touch of glamour will hit Wakefield this week, bringing live entertainment and a new offering to the heart of the city.
Shakespeare’s Showbar, at 67 Westgate, is set to become Wakefield’s only dedicated showbar, promising a lively programme of entertainment to attract both day and evening visitors to the city centre – opening this Friday, January 30.
The arrival of the new bar will focus on live performance, variety, and atmosphere and expected to add renewed energy to Westgate, enhancing Wakefield’s nightlife while also offering a social daytime experience through its brunch events.
The owners of the new bar said: “We’re incredibly excited to be bringing something completely new to Wakefield.
"Our aim is to create a venue that offers high-quality entertainment, a great atmosphere, and something for everyone, from glamorous brunches to big weekend shows.
