New padel and Reformer Pilates club coming to Wakefield this November

08 Sep 2026

One of the UK’s fastest-growing padel operators is set to open a new venue in Wakefield, bringing a distinctive mix of sport, wellness and social experiences to the city for the first time.

The new club, Vida Del Padel (VDP), will feature five padel courts, including four doubles courts and a singles court, alongside an eight-bed Reformer Pilates studio, expanding the venue beyond padel to offer a wider fitness and wellness experience.

Inspired by the social culture surrounding padel in Spain, its Wakefield venue, opening in November at Unit 1 Navigation Yard, will be designed to bring together sport, fitness and community in an environment where people can play, train, socialise and spend time.

Alongside its padel and Reformer Pilates facilities, the Wakefield venue will include male and female changing facilities with showers, air conditioning throughout, and a bar and café serving soft drinks, coffee, cakes and snacks.

A lounge and social area will provide space for players and visitors before and after sessions, while the venue will also feature a media wall and free parking at both the front and rear of the site.

A full programme of coaching and social sessions will cater for everyone from complete beginners discovering padel for the first time through to more experienced players looking to develop their game and meet other players locally.

The launch comes during a major period of expansion for Vida Del Padel, which has grown rapidly since opening its first venue in Lincoln.

The business now operates a growing network of clubs across the UK and is continuing to expand into new towns and cities, with Wakefield forming part of its next phase of national growth.

Jan Skrzypkowski, Co-Founder of Vida Del Padel, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be bringing Vida Del Padel to Wakefield.

"Community has always been at the heart of what we do, and combining padel with Reformer Pilates allows us to give people even more reasons to spend time at the club.

"It also helps us reach a broader audience, welcoming people who may never have played padel before into the Vida community and hopefully inspiring them to pick up a racket too.”
