m2r Education founder shortlisted for Education Innovator at the EducationInvestor Power List 2026
Munir Mamujee MBE, Company Director of m2r Education based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, is flying the flag for the county after being named a finalist in the Education Innovator category of the EducationInvestor Power List 2026. He is the only finalist from a West Yorkshire based organisation on this year's list. The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the London Marriott Grosvenor Square on Wednesday 2 December 2026.
m2r Education provide a range of services to the education sector in more than 50 countries, including international teacher recruitment, online tutoring, digital English language courses, AI powered assessments, teacher training and business development consultancy.
The Education Innovator category recognises the individual who has best demonstrated the vision to take on truly innovative initiatives, solving problems, tackling challenges and thinking outside the box to transform the education landscape or improve students’ ability to learn. Munir is one of 11 finalists in the category, alongside leaders from organisations including Kaplan, Faria Education Group, Cavendish Education, Regent Global and FlashAcademy.
Yorkshire is well represented across the wider list, with South Yorkshire finalists including Gregg Scott of Sheffield based Realise Training Group, Rowena Hackwood of Astrea Academy Trust in Sheffield and Beryce Nixon OBE of Doncaster's Exceed Learning Partnership.
Company Director, Munir Mamujee MBE said, “It's a real honour to be shortlisted alongside such brilliant people from across the education sector. Everything we've built has come from listening to what our clients actually need and being willing to change quickly when the world does, so this recognition belongs to our clients, partners and team as much as to me. It's especially nice to be flying the flag for Wakefield and West Yorkshire. You don't need to be in London to do innovative work in education and I hope this shows other businesses in our region what's possible.”
The EducationInvestor Power List is run by Nexus Media Group, publisher of EducationInvestor, Independent School Management, Education Property and Nursery Management Today. It recognises individuals and organisations across 19 categories, spanning schools, multi-academy trusts, nurseries, further and higher education, SEN, tutoring, investment and support services.
The shortlisting follows m2r Education being named Professional Services to the Tuition Sector winner at the National Tutoring Awards 2026 in July.
