Junction 32 to change name to Designer Outlet Leeds following huge rebrand

18 May 2026

Junction 32 is undergoing a huge rebrand that will see it change its name.

It has been announced by owner, Frasers Group, that the outlet will be renamed Frasers Plus Designer Outlet Leeds – despite its Castleford location.

The retail park has become synonymous with the town, which is minutes away, since it opened in 1999.

Originally called Freeport, the centre had more than 150 shops and created more than 1,600 jobs.

In 2023, it was bought by Frasers Group from Land Securities.

At the time, James France, group head of real estate for Frasers Group, said: “The acquisition of the Junction 32 Outlet further demonstrates our commitment to the long-term future of physical retail.”

Now, the centre is home to a wide range of stores covering fashion, homeware, interiors and beauty with some of retail’s biggest names, including M&S and Nike.

Last week, Frasers Group announced that Junction 32 would undergo a rebrand, as it joins the company’s ‘Frasers Plus’ scheme.

Posting to social media, a spokesperson for Junction 32 said: “New name, same destination you love - Junction 32 is now Frasers Plus Designer Outlet Leeds!

“You’ll still find your favourite brands, the same great value, and the same easy day out.

“We can't wait to show you what's coming.”

On the rebrand, a spokesperson for Frasers Group said: “We aim to boost footfall from across the region with this naming rights arrangement with the brand Frasers Plus, helping to bring additional great brands and economic benefits to a broader community."
