Fract coffee shop and Fract Pilates are winning team on Ropergate, Pontefract
A new coffee shop and eatery in Pontefract gives customers the chance to get in shape before breakfast.
A door at the back of Fract on Ropergate leads to Pilates Fract - a reformer pilates studio where classes are held most mornings.
Owner Bradley Sutcliffe wanted to bring city café culture to Pontefract and said customers have responded positively since Fract opened six weeks ago.
He describes Fract as a "modern, upmarket café offering breakfast, lunch and brunch."
Bradley's partner Tori Partridge has run Pilates Fract since March and is one of the pilates instructors.
Bradley, 32, used to work for Enfields Estate agents in Pontefract and continues to run Bradley's Real Estate on Wakefield Road, which he opened in May 2021.
He moved to Australia when he was 20 and travelled around the country for two years.
Bradley said: "That's what inspired me really, seeing the cafe culture over there - bright and airy spaces with good coffee.
"When I lived in Australia I was travelling around working in the food and beverage industry.
"I was working in the hospitality trade and that's where I got a passion for it. I have always loved food and I've always loved cooking.
"People have said it's a nice refreshing change for Pontefract.
"I wanted to break the mould of café culture in Pontefract and bring city café culture to a small town"
Fract Pilates holds classes most mornings, Monday evenings and Saturday mornings.
Tori said: "It is going really well. We have multiple instructors through the week offering different types of classes.
"It works wonderfully well with the coffee shop. They will come and do their morning classes , go a get a coffee and then head to work."
Fract is open seven days a week: 7am to 3pm Monday to Friday; 8am to 3pm On Saturdays and 9am to 2pm on Sundays.
