Ego hairdresser Chris launching new venture in Pontefract
Hairdresser Chris Walker is set to launch a new venture next to his salon on Ropergate.
Chris has been busy renovating the unit next to his salon Ego and will soon be launching Ego and Co.
Chris, from Sandal, Wakefield, will be looking for three to four stylists to rent chairs at the new salon.
He started Ego in a room at the former Fitness First gym on Parkside Retail Park, Pontefract, in 2005 and moved to Ropergate in 2013.
He bought the building on Ropergate two years ago and was renting the neighbouring unit to ladies clothes shop The Wardrobe.
He decided to renovate the shop unit after The Wardrobe closed down.
Chris said he filled two skips renovating the upstairs of the unit and converting it into an office.
Chris said: "It has been hard work but good fun. Ego clients are excited to see the new developments at the building."
