Corporate office fit out firm secures a permanent home
Workspace, a company providing office planning, design, furniture and installation, has secured a 17-year leasehold of an office and showroom on Garden Street, in Wakefield.
The property previously accommodated Booths Carpets and Flooring.
Following Workspace’s launch in 2019, founder Caroline Wherritt had been looking for a suitable location to provide office space which the company can grow into and also a showroom.
She said: “This is very much the start of a new and exciting chapter for Workspace. I’ve been looking for a property for some time now, so to come across an office and showroom in such a prominent location is fantastic.
“We already do a lot of work in Wakefield, and are well networked throughout the district, so to make this our permanent home makes perfect sense. It also supports our team, as many of them live in or near the city.”
The 3,000 sq ft building will be completely redecorated, creating an office space for the team and a separate office furniture showroom, which will be used to welcome customers.
Wherritt added: “Having a showroom was really important to us. It supports the way that we work and our approach to customer service.
“We want to give people choice. Having the chance to meet and to chat about their requirements means we can put together the best options to meet their needs.
“This space ensures we can welcome people into our new home and give them the Workspace experience, a helpful and supportive service that has become synonymous with our business.
“Securing the leasehold on the building means that we have more autonomy on how we use the space. Not only can we reconfigure everything to give us the infrastructure we need, but we can also make plans about the way we will upgrade the space.”
Workspace provides corporate clients with office planning, design, furniture and installation services.
