Castleford gears up for celebration of all things great about the town
A day of food, drink, entertainment, and family fun is heading to Castleford, celebrating everything that makes the town great.
Funded by Pride in Place and supported by local restaurants, Food Drink Castleford will involve cafés, bars and independent businesses, celebrating everything that makes Castleford a great place to eat, drink, and shop.
Taking place in Henry Moore Square from 1pm to 9pm on Saturday, September 19, Rhubarb Radio will be broadcasting live, providing music, entertainment and activities to keep visitors entertained.
There will also be live performances from talented local musicians and entertainers on the Community Stage, along with opportunities to win food and drink-themed spot prizes.
Families can enjoy a range of activities, including small fairground rides, face painting and a balloon artist.
Yorkshire Craft Beers and The Craft Booze Company will be hosting a mini-beer festival and Castleford market will be providing an expanded market experience, with artisan craft stalls joining regular traders.

This event will showcase some of the town's independent food, drink and hospitality outlets, giving residents and visitors an opportunity to support the local economy.
