Burger and ice cream cafe given green light in Knottingley
A burger and ice cream cafe has been given the go-ahead at a former hairdresser’s in Knottingley.
Plans for 18 Racca Green were approved by Wakefield Council.
JKM Investment Ltd applied to change the ground floor from a hairdresser’s to a burger and ice cream cafe.
Plans include a replacement shopfront, new roller shutter and an external extraction flue to the rear.
Opening hours will be 9am to 10pm from Monday to Friday, with a 10am to 10pm opening time on Saturdays and Sundays.
Highways officers raised no objections.
The council’s case officer report said: “The introduction of a takeaway in this currently vacant unit would add to the economic vibrancy of the area.”
