Superfast Broadband West Yorkshire & York
Supporting the development of fibre optic broadband in West Yorkshire and York … Superfast West Yorkshire and York is delivering faster, more reliable broadband across the region.
The project, now in Phase 2 of delivery is aiming to increase superfast broadband to >98% of the project region by the end of June 2018.
Superfast broadband connections enable users to surf the internet, download music and video, not to mention stream television at speeds that are massively higher than standard broadband connection.
Rather than broadband being delivered through the copper route, the new, faster broadband speeds are delivered by fibre optic cabling.
