WAKEFIELD FIRST’S MAKER OF THE MONTH: JASMINE POTTERY STUDIOS!

Wakefield First caught up with our fabulous Makers of the month for November… Jasmine Pottery Studios.

Jasmine Pottery Studios is a family-run studio passionate about making pottery available for everyone; the team run workshops of clay making, painting, and pottery wheel experiences. Why? Because they believe the therapeutic and uplifting qualities of clay making and painting should be accessible to all ages, abilities, and budgets, so the goal is to make it as easy as possible to get hands-on with a lovely lump of clay, whether that’s in their studio, your home or at your corporate HQ.

Jasmine Pottery Studios are based in the heart of Wakefield at the Riding Shopping centre although they are tucked away just outside the centre which makes them one of Wakefield's best kept secrets!

Wakefield has been such a supportive place for the team to open a studio with no end of creative people wanting to come and get their hands dirty! The team are also proud to be part of Makey Wakey and the Ridings shopping centre as they feel that it has a very independent vibe nowadays. 

The team have recently been fortunate enough to receive a grant which will support them in their next project which is to take pottery workshops into primary schools across the district.
