New Appointment for Sutcliffe Play

The UK’s only employee-owned playground manufacturer Sutcliffe Play has made a new appointment to its business development team.

The Upton based company has appointed Simon Sharp as an interim Area Sales Manager to cover maternity leave.  Simon’s role will then evolve into a Business Development Manager and focus on identifying new opportunities for Sutcliffe Play.

“The fact Sutcliffe Play is Employee-Owned was a great motivator to join the company”, says Simon.  “My expectation of the business being a positive, customer focussed company which cares about its employees and customers was realised in my first week.”

Simon is looking forward to developing his role at Sutcliffe Play: “I really enjoy seeing projects through from inception to completion, and providing excellent customer service whilst ensuring that the local community is happy, is at the core of everything I do.

“I’m passionate about encouraging active healthy lifestyles and as I love the outdoors there’s nothing better than seeing youngsters and adults alike embracing their surroundings.  Anything we can do to promote a balanced lifestyle away from technology is a massive bonus, and if we can promote a sense of adventure and learning through play, then all the better.”
