Holy Trinity School in Ossett runs to London in the race to beat cancer

09 September 2016

On 23rd/24th September, four tenacious teachers will be running from their school in Ossett to the Macmillan office in central London. Setting off early on the Friday morning they hope to arrive in London on Saturday evening, some 196 miles later. Each runner will complete 4 'legs', the equivalent to 2 marathons each over the course of the challenge.

By their own admission, the team are casual runners at best, so this will be a real challenge, but that is the whole point. Hours and hours of training have been undertaken and the team have run many hundreds of miles to prepare, however they belive every mile will be worth it, and every ounce of pain justified if they can reach our fundraising target.

So many of our lives are touched by cancer.  Thankfully, Macmillan Cancer Support exist to help people who are affected. The work they do day in day out across Britain is phenomenal, providing invaluable support for those who need them the most, so take a moment to help this local team.
