Business Energy Service Survey

Wakefield Council would like to develop a service to boost the success of small business by reducing their energy consumption and carbon footprint.

In some cases local businesses have already reduced their gas consumption by 66% and electricity consumption by 50% by implementing simple, tailored energy saving measures based on energy saving advice and financial support provide by the Council.

Are you aware that for many UK businesses, a 20% cut in energy costs represent the same bottom line benefit as a 5% increase in sales? Research suggests businesses could save as much as 30% by simply changing their energy provider regularly. Energy aware businesses are not only successful, but help encourage their employees to consider measures in their homes, thereby reducing fuel poverty and societal effect on climate change. We understand finding the time and funds to invest in energy saving measures can be a challenge for small businesses. In order for us to deliver a bespoke service that provides the best technical advice and financial support to our local businesses, we need your help understanding what businesses really want and need.

We therefore invite you to complete a 20 minute survey to assist with the setup of this venture.

By completing this survey you provide informed consent for Wakefield Council and The University of Hull to use the data you provide.  The data you have supplied will be used by Wakefield Council to inform the formation of a Business Energy Advice Service only. Your information will not be sold or distributed to a third party. Your information will be deleted within 12 months of the completion of this project.
