Free low carbon energy workshops for businesses and organisations in Leeds and Leeds City Region

Sign up for our free monthly Project Development and Finance Workshops, aimed at helping employees find out:

-How low carbon projects can be profitable and make business sense

-How other businesses have benefitted from transitioning to low carbon

-How Leeds Climate Commission can support your organisation

-How to develop project ideas, prepare a business case for board level approval, or connect to potential sources of finance.

Register to attend:

  • Workshop 1 (26 March): The benefits of energy efficiency and low carbon business
  • Workshop 2 (30 April): Business case development and risk assessment
  • Workshop 3 (21 May): Reviewing financial options and business models
  • Workshop 4 (18 June): Building board level support and securing investor buy-in

Workshops are free to attend. You are required to commit to the entire programme to receive the maximum benefit. All workshops run 15.00 – 18.00 at Walker Morris.

Workshops are organised by Leeds Climate Commission and run by experts in project and business case development, financing, business models for delivery and securing investor buy-in from organisations including (tbc) Arup, Engie, Walker Morris, University of Leeds, WYCA Energy Accelerator,  Abundance, SDCL, Iona, WSP and more. 

Throughout the programme, participants will review real case-studies of innovative projects and be able to benefit from peer-to-peer learning, joint problem solving and the transfer of best practice. 

At the end of the workshop series attendees will be invited to a 'Post-Project Review and Networking' event.
