The Car People Report Revenue Rise as Confidence Grows

12 December 2014

Wakefield-based chain of car showrooms, The Car People, continues to reach new heights as its turnover soared to £153.8m in the year to April.  This represents a real increase from the £135.3m last year, with pre-tax profits increasing by an extra £1m from £3.6m to £4.6m.

The exciting growth of a local business is in part due to a 10% expansion in the new car market as well as an increase in consumer confidence.

With its latest set of results filed with Companies House, The Car People said;

‘Sales for the new financial year are continuing to increase and our results speak for themselves in a market which is growing but in which the consumer is still looking for value, service and confidence in their choice of vehicle, finance and aftersales package and customer service offering.’
