Work Completed for OE Electrics
Mon 24 Apr 2017
Work on a new head office for a Wakefield-based global electrical, power and data company has completed.
The £6.2m base for OE Electrics is located at Calder Park and has been handed over by Clegg Construction's Leeds team.
The site will house OE's headquarters along with advanced manufacturing, research and development, assembly and distribution facilities.
OE's new head office will allow it to cater for increasing demand for its products, with the anticipated growth set to create 144 roles over the next eight years.
The overall project was funded with support from the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership after OE secured a £500,000 grant to invest in job creation and expansion, along with a further loan of £1m to help pay towards construction costs to aid business growth.
David Masters, group managing director for OE Electrics, said: "We had run out of space to expand on our previous site and were working from four different buildings.
"We now have a quality new build site which has visual impact and is energy efficient. It brings everything together under one roof which means we are now able to increase export and expansion into new markets.
"Working with Clegg Construction has been a great experience; they are a very professional company. There has been good communication and the build has been well project managed."
