Wakefield Manufacturing Forum launching first ‘Wakefield Manufacturing Awards’ at Wakefield Business Week 18

The Wakefield Manufacturing Forum is launching the first ever ‘Wakefield Manufacturing Awards’, a new event to the Wakefield region, focused entirely on recognising and celebrating the vibrancy and excellence of modern manufacturing across the area during Wakefield Business Week 2018
The forum is made up of representatives from key manufacturing companies across the district, Tim Mee - Planet Platforms, Andy Young – PolyGlobal, Amy Johnson – Conservatory Outlet, supported by Paul Heigham – Bellingham IT, Mindir Paul – Adventure, and Guy Foster – West and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce.
Aiming to celebrate companies who best demonstrate manufacturing leadership, strong community involvement and workforce enhancement, awards will be presented to ‘Manufacturer of The Year’, ‘Manufacturing Exporter of The Year’ and ‘Best Manufacturer Under 3 Years Old’.
With an introduction from Mark Ridgway OBE, the awards ceremony will take place on Thursday the 4th of October between 12.00pm and 3.00pm at Unity Hall, Westgate, Wakefield and will include a drinks reception, lunch, networking and the awards ceremony.
