The Wakefield districts reputation as a rising star of the northern region, thriving businesses and commercial hub will take a further boost with its 6th annual business week organised by www.wakefieldfirst.com
9 separate events will run across the city and district including Wakefield, the South East and Castleford. Running from 17 – 21st June.
The week launches at one of the UK’s most prestigious Gallery’s – The Hepworth Wakefield with a presentation & Q & A panel including key national figures, organisations and high profile brands such as the BBC and Coca-Cola.
Entrepreneurs and organisations from across the country are coming together to showcase exactly what the district has to offer when they champion the ambition and potential that the area holds plus how and why they have chosen the city as their preferred place to do business.
2019 will hi-light, Apprenticeships led by Apprentice runner up Claire Young, Creative and Digital, Food and Drink, Exporting, Professional Services, Manufacturing and retail with High Profile, interactive events at Eitex, Production Park and Aston Barclay to name but a few.
Wednesday 19th June sees the Food and Drink sector take off, what with our district being a magnet to manufacturers, professionals and advisors such as IPS Featherstone, PHD Marketing Pontefract, Fine cheeses Ltd Featherstone, Great Stuff Organic Ltd Wakefield, Freaks of Nature Ossett, Ossett Brewery, Nightingales Gin Wakefield, Eric Richmond Ossett, Artisan Bakes Wakefield, Newly Wed Foods Ossett, Tangerine Pontefract, Speedibake Wakefield to name but ‘phew!’ We’d be mad not to host such an event
So far confimed for live cooking demo’s are Chris Hale MasterChef 2016 quarter finalist and Karen Wright Great British Bakeoff 2018 contestant.
Thursday June 20th is an exciting day! With the 2nd 1/4ly Exporting event of 2019 including Mid Yorkshire Chamber, The DIT, The FSB & key global exporters. If that wasn’t enough the 2nd Annual Manufacturing forum Awards will be held at Production Park- which has seen international performers and celebrities from Beyonce & Jay Z, Robbie Williams, Coldplay and many more famous faces grace their South Kirkby headquarters.
The Mid Yorkshire Chamber will close a spectacular week with an inspiring and informative luncheon.
Wakefield Business Week will bring together those who are passionate about the city and the district within which they work and have chosen to be located.
