Thornes Park Development – Working together to provide for all
Thu 08 Sep 2016
Wakefield College and Panacea Property Development are currently considering future options for the soon to be vacated Thornes Park Campus, and both are keen to engage with local people as a part of this process. They recognise that local people like you value all that the park has to offer and would like to see it continually improved, albeit with sensitivity to habitats, heritage and current amenities.
They’d like to:
o inform local people and businesses at first hand on the College’s future development plans
o discuss the park’s infrastructure and visitor offer; opportunities for improvement with College vacation of the site - each one aligned with the Parks Management Plan and wider City priorities, and having the capacity to complement the Parks for the People Heritage Lottery bid
o hear of how your group or business would like to be involved in development planning and legacy management
Wakefield College and Hometown Plus (social regeneration partners with Panacea) would like to see and speak with as many local people and businesses as possible.
Hot and cold drinks, and light refreshments, will be available each evening - and, with catering in mind, your advice on whether you will attend or not would be helpful.
You can confirm your place by email@example.com or phoning 0161-835-9333 - and stating the meeting you will attend.
