Hello, Hello, Hello, Xamax Shows Support for Wakefield Central NPT

Xamax, the work wear and sports clothing specialist, has shown its support for Wakefield Central Neighbourhood Policing Team by supplying hi vis vests for an educational activity which allowed pupils from Flanshaw Junior and Infants School to become Police Community Support Officers (PCSO’s) for the day.

Helping to forge links with the adults of tomorrow, Xamax provided 20 hi vis vests for the event to ensure that children remained safe and seen as they gained an insight into the role that PCSO’s perform.

Taking to the streets of Peacock Estate in Wakefield, pupils learnt about home security, lost property, missing persons, graffiti and fly tipping.

PCSO Dickson of Wakefield Central NPT who accompanied the youngsters, comments:

“We are extremely grateful to Xamax for supplying the hi vis vests and helping us to hold this learning session with the children. Our number one priority when taking pupils off school premises is to ensure that they remain safe. Without the support of Xamax we would have been unable to complete this activity.”

Graham Thompson, Managing Director of Xamax said:

“In this economic climate we understand how difficult it can be for schools to kit their children out with the clothing that they need when going on schools trips and educational visits. We are proud to be in a position to support them with these events.”
