Country Music On The Menu At The Ridings’ Fair
Mon 20 Oct 2014
Country and Southern Rock music will be heard at The Ridings Shopping Centre on Sunday 2nd November as the centre has secured Wakefield band Red Dog Country as one of its headline acts for the Craft Market and Music Fair.
The band, made up of Matt Hodges, Joey Frost, Morgan Smith and Jake Brooksbank, will entertain crowds by performing a mixture of country and southern rock songs between 12.20pm and 13.00pm as part of the centre’s themed fair.
Matt Hodges, lead singer of Red Dog Country who are planning a tour in Nashville Tennessee in 2015 said:
“We’re really looking forward to playing at The Ridings Shopping Centre. As a band whose members all originate from Wakefield, it’s a real honour to be performing to crowds in our home town.”
Vicky Clapham, Marketing Manager at The Ridings Shopping Centre comments:
“Red Dog Country offers an alternative type of music so we’re thrilled that they will be joining Skinny Living and Wakefield Gospel Choir at our music fair. We are offering an interesting mix of music with a musical genre to suit every shopper’s taste.”
Performing alongside Red Dog Country will be Skinny Living, the Ainsley Band, Yard Wards, One Day After School, Tilly Shelley and JamieSaySmile.
The music fair forms part of The Ridings monthly craft market. As well as experiencing a variety of music talent from across Yorkshire, shoppers will also be able to browse 25 craft stalls and pick up handmade, quality items.
