The Merchant Gate regeneration scheme is a 17 acre site in Wakefield’s commercial quarter, with over £70M spent delivering phase one and two. The development includes new Council offices, Wakefield One, which has brought many services under one roof, incorporating a museum and library with high quality office space.
Wakefield One also includes a Business Lounge, an area where businesses can get advice and information on start-ups, expansion, or planning issues.
The scheme has also delivered contemporary one and two-bed apartments surrounding a public space and a 1500-space multi-storey car park.
