Brexit round-table for Wakefield SMEs by Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce

Brexit round-table for Wakefield SMEs by Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce

Brexit round-table for Wakefield SMEs

This forum provides you with the opportunity to engage in discussion of business concerns in the wake of, or aftermath, of UK leaving the EU.

But the big question is: will we, or will we not, actually leave?

And if we do leave , will there be a “Deal” in place, or will we exit the EU with no deal?

What will happen if we don’t leave on the target date, but instead enter into a short (or extended) ‘Transition Period’?

Whatever the outcome, (which could be something different to any of the conjectured scenarios), businesses throughout our Chamber region and the rest of the UK will almost certainly need to adapt very quickly to radically different business conditions.

This is a situation of national importance, and we expect this business forum to be highly informative and useful to all attendees.

The round-table will be a good opportunity for the key stakeholders and SMEs of the Wakefield district to meet and share their concerns at this stage of the Brexit process with the aim of gaining more certainty via:

-Greater understanding of the business regulations affected by Brexit (see BCC checklist here: https://www.britishchambers.org.uk/page/business-brexit-checklist )

-Supporting smaller businesses with their Brexit plans

-Impact on skills.

Parking available nearby at Carter Street and Merchant Gate.
