Kate Betts, a former journalist turned media consultant as part of Wakefield Business Week, will show you how to promote your company for little, or no, cost.
Kate worked in newspapers, radio and television, including for BBC Radio 4, Radio Leeds and Calendar, before switching to the other side. She has spent the last decade helping companies deal with the media proactively and re-actively to protect and enhance their reputation.
She runs a Yorkshire-based, award-winning PR agency called Capital B Media, and she delivers media training to organisations as diverse as the Care Quality Commission and Michelin Tyres.
Kate is an expert on crisis communications, having helped organisations involved in high profile national stories, and she lectures in using social media in civil emergencies for the Cabinet Office-run Emergency Planning College.
