Context of Role:

PHD Marketing & Strategy is an award-winning B2B marketing and communications agency based in Pontefract, West Yorkshire working on a national and international basis. We’re an end-to-end marketing solutions provider delivering a range of services from PR to Advertising & Digital Media Management with a focus on content marketing.

With our sister company, Design By PHD in Wrexham, North Wales, we have secured a number of new B2B clients across the print, packaging, food & drink, distribution, specialty chemicals and electronics industries.

We are now looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Executive to play a fundamental role in the management of our B2B social channels. As a member of our digital team, your primary activity will involve creating innovative social media content and campaigns with the aim to drive follower growth, engagement and increase traffic to websites. You will also assist with implementing wider digital campaigns and be involved with website management, email marketing, analytics and reporting.

The right person will have experience working in a PR agency environment, high attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, the ability to work to one’s own schedule and a strong interest and knowledge of the main corporate social media channels.

Roles & Responsibilities

Working with the digital team to execute client social media strategies across all social channels – LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook

Responsible for ensuring social media posts are being delivered effectively – on the right channels, to the right audience at the right time

Seeking out new opportunities to build and create new relationships with industry influencers

Competitive research and benchmarking

Working with our digital team to create unique social media content for LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram & Facebook

Participating in creative ideas session for social media and marketing content

Creation and management of digital campaigns

Supporting the team to set up and execute email marketing campaigns

Website management - updating, developing and optimising content

Any other projects required by the company

Essential Requirements

Proven experience in digital media & marketing in a business environment

Creative and strategic while not being afraid to push boundaries

Ability to tailor content for different target audiences

Up to date with the latest digital trends and best practices

Highly IT literate

Strong written and verbal communication skills

High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills

A self-starter who can work autonomously as well as part of a team

The ability to work to one’s own schedule, keep calm and focused while managing tight deadlines

Experience of using social media applications such as Hootsuite and other similar tools

Confident in Microsoft Office packages – PowerPoint, Word, Excel

Strong analysis and reporting capabilities

Full clean driving license

Advantageous but not essential

Knowledge and experience of SEO/PPC/AdWords management

B2B industry experience – print/packaging/manufacturing
