Advanced Support Worker - Knottingley 

Would you like to be part of an exciting opportunity to join a new Knottingley supported living service, due to be operational in November/December 2019? 
This service will be focused on enabling people who have highly complex needs to transition into community living, under the Transforming Care programme.

As an advanced support worker, you will be responsible for the oversight of the people we support and delivery of services including:
 
▪ Acting as an ambassador for the company following Millennium’s vision and values ▪ Implementation of regular keyworker meetings in order to support people to develop their potential ▪ Person centred practices and approaches ▪ Administering medication ▪ Keeping up to date with policy and procedures ▪ Inputting effective record keeping and documentation on our IT database ▪ Involvement in meetings with the people we support, their circle of support and other health care professionals in a confident and professional manner ▪ Implementing and developing support plans/risk management plans in order to offer support in an aspirational manner which includes positive risk taking ▪ Develop and maintain meaningful, therapeutic relationships with the people we support with an empathetic approach ▪ Confidence in working with people with complex histories including trauma and possible self-harm ▪ Working with trauma informed principles ▪ A working pattern across 7 days a week and relief waking nights when needed
 
To be part of this new dynamic team the successful candidates must hold their Level 2 in Health & Social Care.
 
Following a successful six-month probation period, where you will undertake specialist and mandatory training the rate of Pay will be increase from current support worker scale to advanced support worker rate of £8.21 to £10.50ph.
