The expansion of an established UK insurance intermediary, creating over 100 local jobs, is set to provide an "economic boost" to Wakefield.
Up to 40 new jobs are expected to be recruited in Wakefield during the next four months as London-based Union Insurance, opens its new facility on Wakefield 41 Business Park, with final recruitment figures expected to be in excess of 100.
Positions will predominantly be call centre operatives and will also include managerial and supervisory roles, as well as openings for quality assurance assessors.
Union Insurance Managing Director Daniel Harrison said the company was looking to be operational by the end of February. The long-term aim is to its base in Wakefield, building on the enormous success the company has enjoyed in London since launching 13 years ago.
