The first Wakefield District Business Awards celebrate the individuals and companies who are helping to make the District one of the most dynamic in the region. Despite the economic downturn Wakefield has been named one of the UK's Top 20 Locations for Business Growth (Royal Mail Business Barometer 2008.)
We know many, many businesses are facing extremely difficult times right now, and entering the Awards may not be at the top of the priority list.
But by doing so you can recognise how you and your team are coping with a challenge, reward remarkable commitment, network with high quality new customers and clients and raise your profile as a successful company that is meeting those challenges. It has never been more important to stand out than it is now, this is your chance.
This year's Awards feature nine diverse categories (see below) that are open to all organisations throughout the Wakefield Metropolitan District, from sole-traders to multi-nationals.
The Awards will culminate in a spectacular gala dinner and presentation ceremony at the Cedar Court Hotel, Wakefield on Thursday 16th July 2009.
